π Testimonials
Messages from the Money Feelings community I turn to when I need a reminder of why this work matters.
π£ Really enjoying this deep, thoughtful approach to self-enquiry around money and all the things that come with it!
π£ Pauline: I use economics to inform personal finance decision-making, and less told is the amazing connection between the numbers and individual preferences, the humanness underlying choices. You do the latter very well. I look forward to learning more as one of your paid subscribers.
π£ really enjoyed reading this framing β and I feel it in my bones!
π£ Just discovering you, your newsletter and your questionnaire with this post: I love your writing style! And now I want to ask my bank account what he thinks of me.
π£ These newsletters are amazing tbf. Kudos to you.
π£ Iβm so excited to explore money psychology with you. My annual subscription was my Christmas gift for myself. Thanks for the awesome work.
π£ I read the title and immediately replied βYes!β
π£ This is a fab post. I'm so glad I kept it in my inbox to come back to when I had time. You have set the tone brilliantly β and without any of the condescending undertones we so often see when it comes to speaking about ill conceived spending habits.
π£ Loved this! Learned a lot :)
π£ This is brilliant, as always. Iβm seeing my best friend tomorrow and will definitely mention these exercises and will ask her to do it together. Thank you for your amazing work!
π£ You just gained a subscriber! I love money, love discussing it, love reading about it, and love hearing personal insights delivered in a conversational tone. Money is at the heart of everything, yet so few women discuss it. Let's change that.
π£ I loved this so much! Iβve been talking a lot this year about how as a writer I dont envision myself ever not working on my craft, and seeing the fear on my newly-retired parentsβ faces. I feel very understood in this piece, and a lot less lost!
π£ As someone who has close ties to France, I really appreciated your reflection. There are definitely ways I think and act with money that can be linked back to the French influence. Paying for things in cash, being slow to invest etcβ¦
π£ I wish I had read that when I was a shopping addict...! Still worth it today, I finally understand why I used to struggle to get out without a podcast (which, by the way, I was not even really listening). Is it possible that this addiction also impacts our ability to (not) handle frustration?
Thanks, Pauline, this was one of my best read since few months!
π£ Such an excellent post, Pauline. I donβt really buy many physical things, but Iβve literally just been scrolling through my Kindle app listing all the books Iβve bought but havenβt (yet) read. Definite dopamine hit when I get them, even though I donβt think Iβll ever have time to read them all π¬
π£ Super interesting. I have also lived half my life outside of my natal country and have lived in 4 different countries and I had not thought about how the culture around money and finances can have so much influence without even realising it that much. This is something I will definitely consider more closely and reflect how I have been impressed by the local beliefs over the years.
π£ A high-quality newsletter, with topics that spark our curiosity and allow us to learn about aspects of our personality we knew nothing about. I love it! It's original, dynamic, and motivating. Thank you, Pauline.
π£ I thought it was such a lovely, interesting piece. So glad you wrote it!
π£ A fresh perspective into our spending habits and great work!
